Children from Year One to Year Six are encouraged to develop skills and interests outside the classroom. We offer a wide range of extra-curricular clubs throughout the year.
Activities range from lunchtime clubs including badminton, lego and flute to after school clubs for netball, football, choir, zumba and cookery. Additional classes for writing, mathematics and French also take place. Tuition in music and participation in musical activities and drama are an integral part of school life. Private individual lessons are available in the violin, flute, piano and guitar.
A wide ranging programme for Physical Education includes hockey, athletics, football and netball. Teams take part in organised fixtures against other schools and compete in swimming and athletics meeting annually. All children have access to ‘state of the art’ sports facilities at the nearby high school and Bury Athletics track. All pupils from nursery upwards enjoy Street Dance classes and specialist coaching takes place for netball and football.
