Vision Statement

Inspired by our faith in Christ, we aim that each person should aspire to reach their full potential in body, mind, heart and spirit.

I am delighted to welcome you to the Bury Catholic Preparatory School website. We strongly believe that a happy, confident child is a successful learner. Our dedicated teaching staff ensure that everything we do is focused on creating an environment that develops a child’s confidence and an ability to think independently.

Our children are happy, keen to succeed, and eager to make the most of their time with us. When they leave us to move onto senior schools of their choice, they are confident individuals whose future is based on the firm foundations that we have laid. We encourage all our children to be themselves, each child is cared for and nurtured in every way.

Our staff want the very best for all our children. They are at the heart of everything we do, and we will do all we can to help them achieve their own personal best. Our most recent ISI report in 2016 commented that, “Across the school, pupils achieve highly and make rapid progress. Attainment is above, and in some cases well above the national average. This level of achievement reflects the high quality of teaching, which is planned carefully to meet the needs of all children”.

Pastoral care is one of our particular strengths and we go to great lengths to ensure the fulfilment of all our children. All this is rooted in the Christian ethos, which values each individual and encourages a sense of wonder about life. Welcoming members of all faiths, Bury Catholic Preparatory School is a place where ‘faith and future flourish.’

I thank you for showing an interest in us. I never underestimate the commitment parents make when they send their child to an independent school. One of the most valuable gifts parents can give a child is an excellent start in life, a good education. I fully appreciate the trust that parents place in me and the teaching staff. I would like to invite you to come and visit our school, meet the staff and children, and get a sense of what is important to us. You will be assured of a warm welcome.
